Dr. Gregory Tsongalis is currently an Associate Professor of Pathology at the Dartmouth Medical School and the Director of Molecular Pathology at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center where he oversees molecular testing for genetic, infectious and malignant diseases as well as pharmacogenomic and targeted therapeutic applications.
Dr. Tsongalis received his undergraduate training at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst where he majored in Zoology and minored in Chemistry. He then went on to complete a P.A. program in Pathology at Quinnipiac College in Hamden, CT. His experiences as a P.A. lead him to embark on a Ph.D. in Pathology at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark, NJ, where he studied DNA repair mechanisms. Dr. Tsongalis continued his research in molecular oncology during his first post-doc in the Department of Pathology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill followed by post-doctoral training in clinical chemistry.
