Morning Symposia: Coagulation Analysis by Viscoelastography – Is There a Point-of-Care Clinical Application?

Session Overview: Viscoelastography (TEG, ROTEM, SonoClot) provides a unique assessment of coagulation in whole blood. These techniques provide simultaneous assessment of platelet function, humoral coagualtion, and fibrinolysis. This session will discuss the principles of this technology, its proper validation and clinical applications.
