NACB Implements Dues Increase for 2012
NACB announced at its annual awards luncheon in July that there would be a dues increase of $20 for 2012—bringing the cost of membership to $80. NACB dues have remained unchanged for the past 20 years but during that time the Academy has made significant contributions to the practice of laboratory medicine through its free online Laboratory Medicine Practice Guideline publications, weekly NACBLOG discussions, Annual Meeting distinguished abstracts program, and annual awards. As the Academy of AACC, NACB has increasing opportunities to advance laboratory science and the expertise of Academy Fellows is increasingly valued and in demand. This dues increase will support the Academy’s efforts to continue existing activities and explore new leadership opportunities. Additional information about NACB membership can be found here.
