The AACC Upstate NY Section 2012 Spring Meeting will be held in Rochester, NY, on Thursday May 10- Friday May 11, at ACM Laboratories. We are currently soliciting presentation proposals for the scientific program from Upstate NY section members. All members who are program presenters are entitled to free meeting registration as well as free admission to the Section's dinner/banquet, to be held on Thursday May 10. Presentations may be on any topics of general interest to the clinical lab community, although the themes of Proteomics, Mass Spectrometry, Near-Patient Testing, and Pharmacogenomics will be emphasized this year.
Presentations should be approximately 30 minutes in length, plus 10 minutes of Q&A/discussion. The program is intending to achieve accreditation for AACC ACCENT continuing education credits, and each prospective speaker should submit a CV/Bio brief as well as a statement of Learning Objectives, no later than March 16. Presentations from section members who are no more than 35 years old will be considered for the Upstate NY Section Chilcote Young Investigator Award. Additionally, we are offering the Royden Rand Student Fellowship grants ($200 each) for several additional student presentations. Further details of these awards are available on the AACC Website/Members/Local Sections/NY Upstate/Local Section Awards.
All interested participants should direct their proposals to Maria Pasic, PhD, Program Chair, Upstate NY Section.
Remember, the deadline for proposals and supporting information is March 16.
