2009 PMF Award Winner

Meet the 2009 winner of the PMF Division award!-- Dr. Patricia Jones

We are pleased to honor Dr. Patricia Jones as recipient of the 2009 PMF Division award for “Outstanding Contributions to the Pediatric- Maternal-Fetal Division”. Patti is currently Associate Professor both in the Department of Pathology at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and the Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences at UT Southwestern Allied Health Sciences School at Dallas. Since 2003 she has been Clinical Director at Children’s Medical Center, Dallas Texas. In addition since 1988 she has been consultant at the Parkland Memorial Hospital, Dallas, Texas.

Dr. Jones has distinguished herself as an excellent teacher in pediatric laboratory medicine as is evident by her many invited presentations and contributions to book chapters in the field. She is also a member of the 2009 Clinical Chemistry Review Course Organizing Committee. Patti has been the recipient of the 1998 Distinguished Teacher award, Southwestern Allied Health Sciences School. Dr. Jones has also served in varying capacities in the Pediatric Maternal Fetal Division of the AACC, and was Chair from 2003-2005. She is currently a member of the Division Management Group, and is on the organizing Committee for the 2010 Annual meeting. She is also the author of many peer-reviewed articles, review articles, and case reports.
