The Division of Molecular Pathology is intended to further and promote professional and public interest by encouraging the study, advancing the science and expanding and improving the use of the techniques of Molecular Biology in the field of Clinical Chemistry.
Local Section Meeting co-sponsorship By AACC Molecular Pathology Division
The Science and Education Committee, consisting of Helen Fernandes, Steven Wong (Chair), Jerry Yeo and Barb Zehnbauer, cordially invite applications for co-sponsorship of local section meetings. Co-sponsorship awards, ranging from $250 to $500 are available to AACC sponsored local section meetings with topics related to molecular pathology. This sponsorship requires a 3- 6 months advance notice/application, and funding is dependent on the scientific/educational merits and also the available balance of MPD budget at the time of application.
For the above sponsorship, the meetings should ideally include topics related to clinical pathology/laboratory medicine, and molecular pathology and diagnostics. The recipient should acknowledge the sponsorship/award at the time of presentation. Suggested wording includes but is not limited to, “Developed in co-operation with MPD of AACC” or “ Funding partially supported by MPD of AACC”.
