Marcy Anderson

Marcy Anderson, MS, MT(ASCP) comes from a clinical background of more than 13 years in the laboratory. She was a training supervisor in Hematology before becoming the director of the Medical Technologist School at Polyclinic Medical Center. Marcy then held the position of Point of Care Coordinator at PinnacleHealth System in Harrisburg, PA for 3 years. She has a Masters degree in Health Service Administration. Marcy joined Medical Automation Systems (MAS) over two years ago as the Senior Clinical Specialist. She has co-developed and implemented the POC Assessment program in various institutions across the United States. This program focuses on regulatory readiness, cost savings, efficiencies, and potential revenue generation. She co-developed www.pointofcare.net and she has written a number of POCT related articles. She was an active member of the CIC over the past 18 months and coordinated the POCC user's group meeting which focused on determining needs of the end users. She has played an integral part in instituting 7 POCC groups throughout the country. This has brought tremendous networking capabilities to over 300 POCCs! Currently Marcy is the Director of training at MAS.
