AACC ANNOUNCES WEBINAR 'REGULATORY AND REIMBURSEMENT UPDATE 2012'

Washington, DC, October 3, 2011     The American Association for Clinical Chemistry (AACC) announces a webinar, Regulatory and Reimbursement Update 2012, to be held on November 15, 2011. The webinar will commence at 2:00pm Eastern and run for 90 minutes.

Early next year, laboratories will be required to make changes to their coding systems but are they ready? Do they know what individual codes to add and which to delete? Are they aware of the new molecular pathology codes on the horizon and what they may mean for them? What payment cuts are in the works as part of debt reduction? What fraud and abuse initiatives are being implemented? In this timely webinar, two Medicare experts, Charles Root, PhD, CEO of CodeMap in Barrington, IL, and Peter Kazon, JD, Senior Counsel at Alston & Bird in Washington, DC, will outline what these and other new reimbursement policies mean for the laboratory.

AACC invites journalists reporting on the clinical laboratory to attend this important webinar. To register, complete and submit a Press Registration Form. For more information about the webinar or AACC, contact Peter Patterson or on either of the above phone numbers.
