40th Annual Oak Ridge Conference - Breakthrough Technologies for Clinical Diagnostics

Washington DC, January 15, 2008 - AACC presents the 40th Annual Oak Ridge Conference - Breakthrough Technologies for Clinical Diagnostics to be held April 17 - 18, 2008 at The Fairmont, San José, CA.

This highly regarded and internationally recognized conference is dedicated to exploring emerging technologies for the clinical laboratory.  Past attendees have rated Oak Ridge as the best for new technologies destined for diagnostic testing with 80% of the technologies presented at past conferences eventually being commercialized.  The Oak Ridge Conference attracts key industry leaders, laboratory directors at major facilities and institutions, and academic researchers who are developing the new technologies.  The conference also attracts a large international audience, attracting participants from more than 20 countries last year.

This year’s keynote presentation - Unraveling the Mess - From Random Molecules in a Complex Biological Sample to Useful Clinical Biomarkers - will be made by Mickey Urdea of Tethys Biosciences, Emeryville, CA.  The conference faculty includes another 12 speakers drawn from industry, academia and the federal government.  For full details of the conference, visit Oak Ridge Conference Program or contact Peter Patterson.

AACC invites members of the press to participate in the conference at no charge.  Journalists can register by emailing Peter Patterson.
