Freelance writers must be professional journalists and provide a letter of representation from a recognized publication or broadcast organization on letterhead to secure press credentials.

Publications or groups wishing to send additional editorial staff must either pay registration fees or obtain approval for the additional press registrations from the AACC Director of Professional Affairs, either prior to the meeting or on site.

Those who are approved for AACC press credentials may attend all educational events at the Annual Meeting with the following limits. They will have complimentary access to the exhibits, plenary sessions, symposia and poster sessions.

  • Interactive Workshops are open to Press depending upon space availability. If a workshop is sold out, Press cannot attend. Press members may arrange interviews with the session faculty by going to the newsroom. If seats are available at the scheduled start time, press representatives may receive complimentary tickets from on-site registration. Or, the press may purchase a ticket, beginning the Saturday prior to the meeting, from on-site registration. No Press is allowed in Workshops, Short Courses and Brown Bag Sessions without a ticket.
  • All “Meet the Expert Sessions” are closed to the Press. Press registrants are welcomed to visit AACC’s onsite Press Room to request interviews with the “Experts”.

Any representative with a press badge who sells, markets or represents a company for the purpose of obtaining advertising or subscriptions from any exhibitor or registrant will immediately forfeit AACC press credentials for that and subsequent meetings. No surveys, advertising or other materials may be distributed during a meeting without prior approval from the Director of Meetings.
