Who is the intended audience for this program?
This intermediate-level program is geared towards clinical pathologists, laboratory medicine physicians, laboratory directors, laboratory managers, and laboratory supervisors.
What does the registration fee include?
Fee includes access to three (3) online webcast presentations within a clinical topic, a multiple-choice quiz, references, and continuing education credits (CME/SAM and ACCENT®). A minimum passing score of 80% on the quiz is required to obtain continuing education credits.
How does the program work?
After registering, you will receive an email message with a link to the AACC online learning system. Here you will be able to view the three presentations (approximately 60 minutes each). These presentations can be viewed at any time, and you may start and stop to accommodate your schedule.
After viewing all three webcasts, you will take a quiz made up of 10-12 multiple-choice questions based on the presentations. A minimum passing grade of 80% on the quiz is required to obtain continuing education credits for the program. You will have a total of three chances to achieve a passing quiz grade.
After passing the quiz, you will receive an email message with a link to an online system where you will evaluate the program and obtain your continuing education credits. Attached to the email message will be a document containing the answer key to the quiz questions and references.

AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM
AACC is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The AACC designates this enduring material for up to 3.5 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM (2.5 credits for the Cardiac Disease webcasts). Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
American Board of Pathology Maintenance of Certification
This program meets the requirements of the American Board of Pathology (ABP) Maintenance of Certification Self-Assessment Modules (SAMs). AACC is approved by the ABP as a provider of SAM credits.
ACCENT® credit hours
AACC designates this enduring material for 3.5 ACCENT® credit hours (2.5 credit hours for the Cardiac Diseases webcasts). AACC is an approved provider of continuing education (CE) for clinical laboratory scientists licensed in states that require documentation of CE, including California, Florida, Louisiana, Montana, Nevada, New York, North Dakota, Rhode Island, Tennessee, and West Virginia. ACCENT® credit is also recognized by several organizations: AAB, ABCC, ACS, AMT, ASCLS, ASCP, ASM, CAP, IFCC, and NRCC.

You have until the program end date to view the webcasts and complete the quiz. The end date is specified in the webcast program description on the AACC website.

Your access to the webcasts ends on the program end date (mentioned above), so before that date, you should print any materials you may want to access at a later time.
