POINT-OF-CARE SPECIALIST CERTIFICATE PROGRAM

COURSE INFORMATION

Effective communication skills are critical to the success of POC specialists as they interact with clinicians, nurses, laboratorians, and other healthcare providers.  This course dicusses verbal and non-verbal communication, describes listening styles and response types, and recommends strategies for interacting successfully with all parties to ensure appropriate patient care.

  • The course is open September 1, 2009–August 31, 2010
  • Enrollment is open June 1, 2009–May 31, 2010
