AACC holds a special poster contest at the AACC Annual Meeting for students and post-doctoral fellows who are presenting authors of accepted abstracts. Judges evaluate each poster on scientific quality, clarity of display and presentation style. As of 2007, these awards will be funded by a generous gift from Genzyme to the Van Slyke Foundation, which enables the prizes to be increased as follows: first prize: $1,000, second prize: $300, and two honorable mention prizes at $100 each.
