AACC holds a special student oral presentation contest at the AACC Annual Meeting for students and post-doctoral fellows who are the lead author of accepted abstracts. Prior to the Annual Meeting, the student abstracts are judged, and the students with the top four ranked abstracts are invited to compete in the student oral presentation contest. Judges evaluate each oral presentation on scientific quality, as well as organization and quality of the presentation and accompanying slides. Winners receive cash prizes as follows: first prize: $1,000, second prize: $300, and two honorable mention prizes at $100 each.
