| WHAT ARE THE AACC MEMBERSHIP CATEGORIES AND DUES? |

Member: $185 Open to persons holding an earned baccalaureate or higher degree in science, medicine, or academic equivalent and engaged in professional activities commonly associated with clinical chemistry. Members receive a subscription to Clinical Chemistry and are eligilbe to vote in association elections.
Affiliate: $110 Open to persons with an interest in the clinical chemistry field who do not desire or qualify for other membership categories. Affiliates do not receive Clinical Chemistry are not eligible to vote in association elections, and may not hold association office.
Student: $25 Open to all undergraduate and graduate students engaged in full-time academic studies, and to residents and fellows. Student members are entitled to all member benefits, except voting privileges and the opportunity to hold association office. Students must send in proof of academic status: ie., a copy of a current student I.D. card or letter from a professor.
Emeritus: $0 You must be retired, over the age of 55 and a member of the AACC for at least ten consecutive years. Mail, fax or email your request to AACC's Customer Service Department to convert to the Emeritus status. Emeritus members do not pay dues; Emeritus members pay for the journal or any division memberships. The Emeritus journal fee is $75.00 and divisions are $15.00 each. |
| HOW DO I BECOME A MEMBER? |
- You can join AACC online or print a copy of the Membership Application Form and fax or mail it to AACC.
- When placing an order online, you will have an opportunity to join AACC and to receive the Member discount immediately.

| RENEW YOUR MEMBERSHIP |
- AACC Membership is on a calendar year basis. Each fall, you will receive a renewal invoice for the following year's membership. When you login to the website, your personalized greeting will notify you that it is time to renew your Membership. Click the link to go to your personalized renewal invoice.
- When registering for the Annual Meeting, you will have an opportunity to renew your membership for the current year.

| WHAT IS THE AACC MEMBERSHIP YEAR? |
| AACC Membership is on a calendar year basis. All memberships are from January 1st through December 31st of each year. Membership applications received before September 1st will be effective for the current year. Memberships received September 1st or later will be effective for the following calendar year; however, you will have access to member discounts and the members only area of the website from September through December of the current year. |
| HOW DO I MAKE A CHANGE TO MY MEMBER SUBSCRIPTIONS OR ADD DIVISION MEMBERSHIP? |

Current AACC Members may choose to update their benefits online for the current year through August. Once the membership renewal season begins in mid-September, Members who wish to update their benefits for the current year must contact Customer Service. |
| WHY DOES CLINICAL LABORATORY NEWS HAVE A QUANTITY OF LESS THAN 1 IN MY ORDER? |
| If you are a US member and already have a subscription to Clinical Laboratory News that expires in the middle of the year for which you are purchasing membership, you are given a partial year subscription that will last for as long as you have paid your membership dues. |
| WHY DOES MY MEMBERSHIP ORDER HAVE A QUANTITY OF 2 OR 3? |
| When you choose to join AACC or renew your Membership for more than 1 year, a quantity of 2 (or 3) will be displayed next to all items associated with your Membership. This reflects the number of membership years purchased. You will only receive one copy of each issue for each subscription. |
| i'M A STUDENT MEMBER. WHY CAN'T I RENEW MY MEMBERSHIP INTO THE FUTURE? |
| AACC requires that we re-verify the student status of all Student Members each year. Once the Membership renewal season begins in mid-September, Student Members may renew online or by contacting Customer Service. |
| I PLAN TO RETIRE SOON. WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS FOR BECOMING AN EMERITUS (FREE) MEMBER? |
| You must be retired, over the age of 55 and a member of the AACC for at least ten consecutive years. Mail, fax or email your request to AACC's Customer Service Department to convert to the Emeritus status. Emeritus members do not pay dues; Emeritus members receive a free online subscription to the Journal. To receive a print copy of the journal, Emeritus members must pay a $75 subscription fee. Emeritus members must also pay for any Division memberships at a cost of $15 per Division. |
| I AM AN EMERITUC MEMBER AND WANT TO CONTINUE MY MEMBERSHIP. WHAT DO I NEED TO DO TO RENEW? |
| Please renew your Emeritus membership each year. Even if you choose not to pay for the journal or any divisions, AACC needs you to confirm that you want to continue to receive your AACC benefits. You can renew online, by mail or by fax. |

| I AM UNEMPLOYED. WILL AACC WAIVE MY MEMBERSHIP DUES? WHAT MUST I DO TO RECEIVE A WAIVER? |
| Mail, fax or email AACC Customer Service. Briefly explain your employment situation. Request that AACC waive your membership dues for one year. AACC will review your request. |
