House of Delegates

The House of Delegates consists of 33 members; one delegate from each section plus 11 elected members of the board of directors who serve as ex officio non-voting delegates.

The House serves as both a communications link for sections as well as a forum for discussing matters of note for sections and members.  The House may formulate goals and plans, indicate priorities for association programs, propose statements of policy, and require reports from association officers and chairs.  A key responsibility is determing dues in response to recommendations of the association's Finance Committee.

Delegates are typically elected by local sections and serve a three-year term.  After two terms, delegates must rotate off the House and are not eligible for reappointment until after a period of three years.

See the Constitution & Bylaws  for a description of the House and its responsibilities.

Delegates should refer to the House resource center for information about House operations.
